TV News: Constantine’s 2nd Season Fate

While fans may not hear about the final fate of NBC’s Constantine until sometime in May, showrunner Daniel Cerone told fans this weekend that he will pitch the show’s second season to the network at the end of April.

A prospective second season for the Vertigo adaptation has been up in the air since the series failed to secure a back nine order and ended its first season after 13 episodes. In many cases, a network will simply cancel shows that don’t get a back nine, but because network executives liked Constantine and because ratings were on the rise for most of the season, NBC decided to let the rest of the produced episodes air and see whether they could justify bringing it back.

We hope Constantine returns…
